Lior Ziv · Psychologist · Tel Aviv
I'm Lior Ziv.
I take the phone out of real life and see what comes back.
I'm a psychologist and a speaker, and I run The Offline Lab. I take the device out of ordinary life, at home, at work, at the table, and study what returns. Rest. Focus. Human connection. The attention we'd already written off.

The premise
Disconnection isn't a place you go. It's what survives an ordinary day.
The industry sells you an escape. A cabin, a retreat, a detox weekend far from your life — then it hands the phone back at the airport and nothing changes. The Lab starts from the opposite assumption: the hardest, most valuable place to disconnect is the life you already live.
The experiments
The phone leaves the house.
I went into people's homes, took their phones, and left them there without them. No cabin, no airport — their own house, minus the device. Every one of them said the same thing after: there's a quality to being disconnected inside your own life they had never felt before. Bigger. Slower. More theirs.
